Miss Georgie

I thought I'd take a second to write a tribute to the recipient of all our attention the last -almost 6!- years before she is ousted by somebody new. Miss Georgie!
She kept me company and preserved my sanity while Eric was working in Seattle and I was doing the medical school grind. She keeps us entertained and delights people in the park as well as small children prone to poking at her eyes.
She put up with small apartment, larger apartment, nice house with backyard, city apartment with elevator. She should be awarded a medal from the City of Boston for rat slaying in the Common. (if they let her loose one night, she could decimate the rat population handily)
She is also the most affectionate and tolerant of dogs, home alone for over 12 hours at a time, never making mistakes. Desirous of only early morning petting and occasional treats.
Georgie always expects leftovers from eating out, but never complains if all we have is a few french fries or pieces of fruit. Dog food is for munching at 3 AM only when hopes for filet mignon have faded.

Georgie was also a star in an Emerson College movie, courtesy of her awesome dog walker, Jacquie. Her scene begins at about 1:50 minutes into the movie!
